This modern front-line villa with four
bedrooms, three bathrooms and private swimming pool nestles on one of
the inlets of Cala Llonga, the exclusive residential area on the north
shore of Mahon's magnificent harbour, and therefore offers good sea views.
The light and very spacious villa - more than 220 sq m of accommodation
and terraces, on a plot exceeding 1200 sq m - is arranged over two
levels.
The villa is built on
a low, rising hill, and one enters it from the street into the top
level. Here there is an entrance hall and, off this, is the large,
comfortably furnished living room, which is finished in a modern,
minimalist style and equipped with flat screen TV (local channels only) and a CD music system.
Also off the hall is the large kitchen-breakfast room with an extensive
range of fitted wood units This is fully equipped with metallic finish fridge-freezer,
dishwasher, integral oven, electric ceramic hob, stainless steel
extractor and all the crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils necessary for
the self-catering family holiday. There is also a large wooden table and
chairs. In the garage/storeroom next to (and with direct access from)
the kitchen is the washing machine.
Off the other side of
the entrance hall is a cloakroom and, beyond this, a corridor leading to
two of the villa's four bedrooms; both are spacious and have large
picture windows overlooking the lovely, extensive landscaped gardens.
One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other two single beds. The
double bed-room has a 2m wide sliding window with safety rail offering
excellent views of the cove and harbour beyond. There are open-plan
style built-in wardrobes in all bedrooms providing ample hanging and
storage space. These two bedrooms share a complete family bathroom with
toilet, bath and shower attachment.
A returning staircase
from the upper level corridor provides access to the lower level
accommodation.
Off the hallway at the
bottom of this staircase, to the left, is a short corridor leading to a
mirror-image of the level above: two bedrooms, one with double bed and
the other with two single beds, sharing a complete bathroom. Both these
bedrooms have doors opening on to the extensive Mediterranean-style
landscaped and walled garden area.
To the right of the
lower level hallway, a door accesses a very large, unfurnished 'void'
room, off which is a further complete bathroom. This large room is
usually locked off but it may be possible for larger groups of guests to
have access to this area for a supplementary per-person charge, and it
would provide simple but very useful additional sleeping accommodation
on fold-up beds for teenagers, nanny or housekeeping staff. This room
has access via two large glass doors (with shuttered outer doors to
provide privacy) to the gardens.
To one side of the
villa is a good sized lawned area and, next to this, is the 8x4m
swimming pool, surrounded by tiled terrace areas for sunbathing. There
is also a staircase on one of the outside walls leading up to the huge
tiled roof-terrace, a perfect haven for sunbathing or taking in the
great views of the cove and harbour. Monday
change-over.
