This modern semi-detached villa with its own private swimming pool
is located on a quiet road, less than 200m stroll to the
steps which lead down to the excellent sandy beach and gently shelving
waters of Cala en Porter, one of Menorca's most popular coastal resorts.
The
villa is surrounded by a wall on all sides and accessed by a lockable
gate to the road, offering a good level of privacy and security. Several
steps lead up from the pool terrace to the villa, and the outside
covered terrace area, which has ample room for the patio table and six
chairs.
The
french doors from the terrace give access to the sitting-dining room, a
light and comfortable room simply furnished in the style of a
traditional villa, with three-piece suite, pine coffee table, wall
unit/display cabinet and TV with access to free-to-view satellite
channels. In the dining area there is a rectangular pine table and six
matching chairs. Also in this room is the American-style open plan
kitchen, located behind a marble-topped row of base units and equipped
with electric oven, gas hob, extractor, fridge-freezer, microwave,
electric kettle and toaster, stainless steel sink and drainer. In the
drying area immediately outside the kitchen door is the washing machine.
To
the rear of the lounge/diner is a small corridor, and off this are
located the three bedrooms - all with two single beds each (providing
standard accommodation for six people), pine bedside cabinets and
built-in wardrobes. The villa has a security safe.
Also
off the corridor are the two fully tiled bathrooms, one with a
three-quarter sized bath, the other with a full bath, and both with
shower attachment and curtain, WC, washbasin and mirror.
Outside
there is an attractive and spacious tiled terrace surrounding the 8x4m
swimming pool (with easy access by steps), and ample room for the six
sunbeds and parasol. There is also a shower and BBQ on the terrace.
This
villa offers unfussy but comfortable accommodation, and provides an
excellent holiday base, with the beach access stairs only a three-minute
walk away, and all the restaurants, bars, shops and facilities of the
resort centre less than five minutes walk. Monday change-over.

Menorca
south region guide
The
popular, busy family resort of Cala en Porter has something for
everyone. A large resort by Menorcan standards and one of the oldest on
the island, it is situated on the south-east coast with a lovely setting
on the eastern cliffs above a large sandy beach with sunloungers and
pedaloes for hire. It has an abundance of bars, restaurants,
supermarkets and shops, catering mostly for the British. A roadtrain
carries visitors up and down from the resort to the beach. Cala en
Porter is famous for the Coves d'en Xoroi - a complex of natural caves
high up on the side of the cliff to the east of the beach. During the
summer the caves are open daily
