VFW053  New to Travel Menorca for 2010, this two-storey villa close to the many facilities of the popular family resort of Cala Blanca features five air-conditioned/heated bedrooms and an 8x4m private swimming pool. Set in a pretty and well-maintained garden, the villa is within an easy stroll from Cala Blanca beach and the resort facilities.

The impressive entrance hall, with its high ceiling and sweeping staircase, is tastefully decorated and tiled and leads to the large, bright living room with its range of comfortable furniture and satellite TV (free-to-view Sky channels), DVD player and CD music system. French doors from the living room open on to a covered terrace area with steps leading down to the gardens and pool terrace.

Doors from the living room lead to the open-plan dining/kitchen area; there is a dining table and a well-fitted, modern marble-floored kitchen featuring built-in oven/hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and all utensils for a self catering holiday. There is a separate utility room with washing machine.

There are three bedrooms downstairs, all accessed from the main hallway: a double with fitted wardrobes and two twin bedrooms. They share two full bathrooms.

Upstairs is the very large master double bedroom with its own living area and french doors to a pleasant terrace with sea views, and a further twin bedroom with a private terrace overlooking the front of the villa. The upstairs rooms share a full bathroom. All the bedrooms have the benefit of air-conditioning/heating.

The 8x4m private pool features roman steps and is surrounded to two sides by attractive landscaped garden and the others by terracing for sunbathing, complete with sun loungers. The gardens surrounding the pool are mature and well-tended, with a lawned area.

Additional features of this villa are a PlayStation 2, built-in brick BBQ, safe and alarms/nightlights. Early booking is recommended for this lovely villa. Saturday changeover.

Resort information

The popular resort of Cala Blanca lies on the south-west coast just 4km south of Ciutadella. It is self contained, with its own supermarkets, shops, numerous restaurants and bars, plus a white sandy beach which is quite shallow, making it a popular choice for families. Strong swimmers can explore the sea caves in the surrounding limestone cliffs. A visit to Ciutadella is a must; there is a frequent bus service to and from the resort.
