New
for 2010 season; great sea views |
VF058 This
traditional-style four-bedroom/two-bathroom villa with private pool
offers sea views from its two levels of terraces. The villa occupies a
private and secluded plot in a quiet area of the ever-popular south
coast resort of Son Bou, and is only a few minutes walk from the many
shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities, and the wonderful
3km long sandy beach, the longest on the island. Occupying an elevated
location on land rises gently from the shore and the protected wetlands,
the villa provides its guests with excellent sea and rural views.
The villa is
approached from the road through traditional-style Menorquin gates. A
path leads to the pool and surrounding terraces, front garden areas and
also the self-contained master suite. The master suite is located at the
end of the pool terrace with its own enclosed private terrace, and
double doors providing access to the bedroom, which is furnished simply
but tastefully with two single beds arranged as a double, bedside
tables, colourful co-ordinating bed throws and curtains, and mosquito
netting. Off the bedroom is a tasteful newly renovated bathroom, fully
tiled in high quality Italian tiles and fitted with a glass shower
cubicle with high pressure stainless steel shower heads, a modern large
bath and wash basin.
The good sized pool
has roman step access at the shallow end and is surrounded by a tiled
terrace with ample space for sunbathing. A staircase from the pool
terrace leads up to the large balustraded upper level terrace, which
offers a shaded dining area and further spacious sunbathing areas, and
even better sea views. This level also provides the main accommodation
of the villa.
Double doors open to
the living/dining room, furnished in the traditional style of the
Menorcan beachside summer villa. The lounge is equipped with a DVD
player and a CD music player.
At one end of the
living/dining room is the fully fitted kitchen, equipped with electric
oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, electric kettle,
microwave and, in a casita just outside the kitchen, a washing machine.
Naturally the kitchen is equipped with all the crockery, cutlery,
utensils and pans required for the family self-catering holiday.
At the opposite end of
the lounge/diner, three steps lead up to the other three bedrooms, two
of them are each furnished with two single beds, the third bedroom with
a double bed - this one has double doors opening to a private balcony
with lovely sea views. All the bedrooms benefit from fitted wardrobes,
high sloped and beamed ceilings and are supplied with ventilation fans.
At the end of the
hallway is the family bathroom, also newly renovated to the same high
quality as the master ensuite, with top quality tiles, fittings,
sanitary ware and accessories, large glass shower cubicle with two
stainless steel shower heads, WC and wash basin.
This villa offers
relaxed, secluded and unpretentious accommodation with great views and
spacious living and exterior areas. The outside areas to the front
elevation of the villa also boast a wide array or colourful
Mediterranean shrubs, plants and flowers.
Due to the different
levels of accommodation and interior and exterior stairs, it is not
considered very suitable for those with mobility problems. However, both
staircases from the upper terrace have gates to restrict access of young
unsupervised children to the pool and lower terrace. Friday changeover.
