This traditional Menorcan five-bedroom single-level villa enjoys one the
most spectacular frontline positions on the north side of Mahon harbour,
overlooking the Isla del Rey. Ferries, cruise ships and boats are
constantly sailing past, making it a fantastic location from which to
watch the world go by...
The
villa is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac on a large private plot
with ample parking for 2/3 cars in the elevated road-level villa
grounds. Steps lead down to the villa entrance and covered terrace with
another set of steps down to the large pool terrace.
The
main villa door leads into a hallway with, to the left, one twin, two
double and one single bedroom, all with air-conditioning and comfortably
equipped with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables/lamps and drawers. The
master double has ample space for another bed if needed. The twin and
master double also have french doors leading on to the covered terrace.
These bedrooms are serviced by two full family bathrooms.
To
the right of the hallway is the spacious, beautifully furnished
living/dining room with sofas, coffee table, dining table and chairs, TV
with free-to view satellite channels, DVD and CD music system. Doors
lead from here to the terraces.
Across
from the living room is the fifth bedroom with double bed, aircon,
wardrobe, bedside table and lamp. Off this bedroom is an ensuite shower
room.
The
fully fitted kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher,
oven/hob, toaster, coffee maker etc. A door leads out on to the terrace
with brick-built barbecue and a small casita which houses the washing
machine.
On
the spacious covered terrace there are dining table and chairs plus high
quality lounging terrace furniture from which to take advantage of the
fabulous views.
Steps
lead down from this terrace to the boathouse roof - ideal for sunbathing
- and a long jetty, ideal for fishing and swimming from. There is also a
mooring available if needed.
The
10x5m swimming pool with roman steps access is surrounded by an
extensive sunbathing terrace with table/ chairs, parasols and loungers.
This
is a wonderful villa for a family holiday, especially those who enjoy
sea bathing and fishing. It occupies one of the best positions on the
harbour. We speak from personal recommendation having spent six holidays
here ourselves. The villa has loads of traditional character and brand new furniture, both inside and on the terrace, new
appliances and a facelift of the bathrooms and kitchen. Early booking is
recommended.
Due
to the number of steps and the direct sea access, this villa is
unsuitable for very small children. Friday change-over.
