This delightful, individually designed and substantial three bedroom
detached country house has its own private pool and a huge plot of land
of almost five acres. It is one of a small number of properties in an
exclusive gated estate, with beautiful rolling wooded countryside and
wonderful views.
The
house has its own gated entry and long drive, lovely rustic gardens and
terrace areas. There is a farmhouse kitchen, complete with electric hob
and separate oven, dishwasher, microwave and, in a separate spacious
utility room, a large fridge-freezer and a washing machine.
From
the kitchen there is access to the large, light and airy dining room
with traditional wood-burning fire. Beyond, through double arches, is
the living area. The dining room is furnished with a pine table and six
matching chairs; it has large french doors opening on to one of the
terrace areas and gardens. The living area is comfortably furnished with
wicker sofa and matching chairs and is equipped with TV with access to
SKY free-to-view channels, DVD and CD music.
Behind
the dining area, a small corridor leads to a large, modern fully tiled
family bathroom (new for 2008), and a twin bedded room, pleasantly furnished and
decorated with cane furniture.
On
the other side of the ground floor is a huge open-plan room with wooden
floors and high ceilings. The first part of this cavernous room is
arranged as a bureau/study area, and beyond are two single beds with
bedside cabinets and fitted wardrobes. Floor-to-ceiling French doors
provide garden access. This room, and the mezzanine gallery bedroom,
have access to a fully tiled new bathroom with shower.
From
the bureau area stairs lead to a charming mezzanine/gallery bedroom, furnished
with a single bed and with its own new tiled shower room. This area can be used for a seventh person if
required, though it should be noted that it does not provide complete
privacy from the large bedroom below.
Off
the living area a staircase leads to the upper level occupied by the
master suite. This charming room is furnished with two twin beds which
can be arranged as a double and has large french doors which open onto a
private balcony. There is an open-plan wardrobe and dressing area, and a delightful and very individually designed
ensuite shower room, which has been refurbished recently.
Externally
the villa really scores top marks. There is a large shaded dining area
complete with dining table and chairs; a central large terrace of
natural local limestone, with small ponds and waterfall, with a water
feature which links fountains, waterfalls and ponds, one of which teems
with fish. There is a large
block built BBQ with chimney. This area has a profusion of beautiful
trees, colourful climbing shrubs and flowers.
The
pentagon-shaped swimming pool is huge and has a very shallow wide ledge
around all sides, shelving into the deeper area in the centre. The pool
surround is paved in local natural marés (limestone) and beyond the
paved areas are mature trees and landscaped garden areas, with a water
feature which links fountains, waterfalls and ponds, one of which teems
with fish. The
totally private pool terrace is equipped with
sunbeds.
The
gardens feature an abundance of wildlife, including wild tortoises,
hummingbird moths, butterflies and migratory birds. With its many water features and steps this villa is not
suitable for toddlers. Friday
