TM002  This attractive farmhouse is conveniently situated less than 3km from the popular fishing village of Fornells, where there is a sailing and surfboard school and many wonderful restaurants and bars. The town of Es Mercadal and the main road from Mahon to Ciutadella are a 10-minute drive away so, while peacefully situated, this property is still close to many amenities.

Exterior
Set in its own private grounds, there are no nearby neighbours, guaranteeing privacy and tranquillity. Wonderful views of the surrounding area and the bay of Fornells can be enjoyed from the upper terraces and pool area. The house is set on two levels, both having direct access to the large swimming pool (approx 10x5m) and garden. Patio doors lead from the sitting room to an outside covered terrace with BBQ by the pool. The garden has a large grassed area, sunbathing terraces and a covered terrace equipped with high quality furniture for outdoor dining and relaxing.

Interior
Off the entrance hall there is a large laundry area with washing machine, iron and ironing board. To the right of the entrance hall is a double bedroom with bathroom ensuite. Just off the hall there is a further twin bedroom and a full bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with oven/hob, dishwasher, microwave and a breakfast area and french windows leading out to the garden and pool. To the left of the kitchen there is a large comfortably furnished living room with satellite TV (free to view channels), CD and DVD player, comfortable sofas and large french windows leading out to another covered terrace adjacent to the garden and pool area.

On the upper floor there is a double bedroom with full bathroom ensuite and two further twin bedrooms sharing another bathroom. Two of these bedrooms share a large terrace. On the landing there are doors leading on to another terrace with staircase down to the pool area. All bedrooms have the benefit of air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

We can highly recommend this lovely villa for a relaxing family holiday. It is ideal for children, and for two families to share. Friday change-over.

Menorca north region guide

A pretty resort of low whitewashed cottages, fishing boats bobbing on the harbour and restaurants on the palm-lined promenade. Fornells is famous for the excellent local lobster stew, calderata de langosta, which is served in almost every restaurant, each different and with each chef jealously guarding their own recipe. Not to be missed.
