This newly reformed villa is situated in a lovely quiet countryside location and is ideally situated, a 5-7 minute walk from the pretty fishing village of Alcaufar. Located at the end of a narrow road just off the main road to Alcaufar, the villa sits on a very large private plot and enjoys countryside views on the ground elevation and sea views from the large roof terrace accessed by gated stairs from the side of the property. Entrance into the villa is from the main door into a small hallway leading into the open-plan living/kitchen/dining room which is nicely furnished with sofas, TV with satellite free-to-view channels, DVD and iPod dock. There is a dining table and chairs and the modern fitted kitchen has dishwasher, fridge-freezer, built-in oven/hob and microwave, washing machine and plenty of good quality crockery, cutlery and utensils. Sliding floor-to-ceiling patio doors lead out on to a covered terrace with distant sea views towards S'Algar, and steps lead down to a gravelled area perfect for sunbathing. To the side of the villa is another paved area ideal for outdoor dining. The bedrooms are located to the right side of villa and comprise two double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, one bunk-bedded room with a separate full bathroom and one single bedroom. All are comfortably furnished and have bedside tables, lamps and built-in wardrobes. Altogether, this is a really nice, comfortable villa in a peaceful spot. It will appeal to those seeking privacy who do not mind the lack of a pool and who want to be very close to local amenities. A local farmer cultivates the villa's land and grows an abundance of fruit and vegetables. He will make available a selection of whatever is in season for guests to enjoy. An outdoor casita provides laundry facilities and an additional shower room. Alcaufar is a really pretty village with a lovely beach, shallow waters and rocks to climb or sunbathe from. It is extremely child friendly: the bay is very shallow and there are many flat rocks and rock pools to explore. It is a village almost untouched by mass tourism. The small hotel adjacent to the beach is a nice shady spot in which to relax and have a drink or lunch. Highly recommended. Saturday change-over. |
