A delightful three bedroom, two bathroom detached villa with private swimming pool, offering spacious, comfortable and well maintained accommodation arranged on one level. It is situated on a large plot exceeding 750sq m of well maintained lawned gardens with colourful shrubs, flowers and various trees, all enclosed within mature hedges and drystone walled perimeters. Its outstanding location just a couple of hundred metres or so from the S'Algar sea wall and rocky coastline means villa guests can enjoy wonderful sea views from the living room, dining room, main bedroom, and from the raised and covered terrace area, as well as from the spacious pool terrace and garden. The villa is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and is set back towards the rear of the plot and away from its entrance gate, so it is very secluded and tranquil with a high degree of privacy. A path leads from the pedestrian cul-de-sac to the entrance door, and this opens into a good-sized, circular lounge, which is comfortably furnished and has a TV with limited English language channel access, and various German language channels. There is also a music system and a DVD player. There is a separate dining room furnished with pine table and chairs and matching dresser. French doors from both living and dining room open on to the exterior covered area of the terrace (where there is a patio table and chairs). Off the living room is the kitchen and a utility room, with oak units containing all the crockery, utensils and equipment for the self-catering holiday, and equipped with gas hob, electric oven, extractor, washing machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher etc. A corridor leads to the villa's three bedrooms: a main bedroom with king-size bed which overlooks the pool terrace, with french doors providing access to the terrace, pool and gardens; and the two further bedrooms (with no sea view), one with a further king-size bed and the other with two single beds. There are two fully tiled shower rooms, both with cubicles with sliding doors, WCs, washbasins, and one with a bidet. This property has been the cherished second home of its lady owner for many years, and 2008 is the first season it has been made available for the enjoyment for paying guests. The villa is a very comfortable home-from-home to relax and is an excellent base from which to explore Menorca's many beautiful unspoiled beaches and countryside, as well as the leisure and entertainment facilities in the centre of S'Algar (a five-minute walk away). Monday change-over. S'Algar is a small but very popular and long established resort on the tip of Menorca's south-east coast. Although it offers only a small man-made beach, there are extensive sunbathing and swimming platforms and terraces along the shoreline, and some great swimming and snorkelling opportunities from its rocky coast. There is also some of the best and most spectacular scuba diving site, just off its shore, and S'Algar Diving offers excellent and highly professional facilities to exploit this, for beginner and expert alike. Within a 3-minute drive is the lovely little coastal village of Alcaufar which has a most pleasant sandy beach set in a very sheltered cove, ideal for families with small children. Within 10 minutes there are a variety of other excellent beaches and resorts including Punta Prima, Binibeca and Binisafua. The quaint and historic local town of Sant Lluis is just 4 minutes by car. |
