This stunning and unique detached villa occupies a front-line position with unbeatable views to the sea (just 50m away, across the lane and rocks) and to the bay of Cap d'en Font. The villa is situated on a large double-sized plot at the end of a quiet coastal lane, and offers complete privacy and tranquility to the discerning client, with fabulous external areas of landscaped and lawned gardens, extensive terraces, lovely pergola and large swimming pool. This is a truly one-off villa with an unusual and highly imaginative design . The inverse V shape and sides of the villa covered with roof tiles are not found anywhere else in Menorca. Internally the villa is spacious and well appointed, comprising a large open-plan lounge-dining room, with two sofas, table and chairs and a feature rustic wood burner /flue in the centre of the room. Much of the walls and ceiling are wood panelled, and the shape and style of the villa lends it a nautical theme. Off the lounge-dining room is an open plan kitchen, newly installed, with light oak fitted units, integral stainless steel electric oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher, microwave oven and ample utensils. There is also a washing machine, located in the large family bathroom. To the rear of the lounge-dining room off a short corridor are two bedrooms - one large master suite with double bed, fitted wardrobes, and a lovely modern bathroom/WC. French doors open on to the pool terrace and gardens. On the other side of the corridor is a further bedroom with twin beds and fitted wardrobes, with french doors opening to the rear of the property. The family bathroom is situated next to this bedroom. Wooden stairs in the lounge lead up to the first floor, and a huge and most unusual room, which occupies the whole length of the villa. Doors lead on to a good sized balcony with table and chairs, and this offers fantastic sea views, especially spectacular at sunset. This upper floor has restricted headroom to both sides, as it is situated in the inverse V of the roof. This room has proved very popular with and is considered especially suitable as accommodation for older children and teenagers, or a play den; with zed-beds it could accommodate 3/4 of them. As spacious and comfortable as the internal areas of this property are, it is the external features that really separate it from the norm; extensive tiled terraces surround the lovely J-shaped pool; there is a beautiful and unusually designed pergola providing shade for two patio dining tables and chairs; the pergola has massive drystone columns and a planta out of which grows a massive palm. Also on the pool terrace is a BBQ built of local limestone. A couple of steps from the terrace lead on to the extensive rolling lawn, and at its highest point is a lovely covered 'bandstand' with chairs and a small table - this vantage point offers stupendous views out to sea and to the coastline of Binisafua and Cap d'en Font. The border areas of the garden are planted with an abundance of colourful shrubs and plants, and there are several palm trees. High mature hedges surrounding the gardens provide complete privacy. This villa offers a unique environment for discerning clients seeking complete relaxation and privacy, with immediate access to the sea and wonderful views. The beach at Binisafua is just five minutes walk via a country track and sea bathing is also available off the rocks. Several bar/restaurants are within easy walking distance. Friday change-over. Cap den Font and Binisafua Playa is a small, relaxed coastal village-cum-resort where the properties are both permanent residential and second homes used by overseas owners and guests. Apart from its beach it has several bar-restaurants scattered around, and tennis courts. The local historic town of Sant Lluis is about six minutes by car, and other resorts and facilities such as Binibeca, Cala Torret, Punta Prima, S'Algar and Alcaufar are the same or less. A hire car is considered essential for Binisafua. Please note that the area is under one of the approach flight paths to Mahon airport, and therefore some aircraft noise is likely. |
