This is a magnificent six bedroom, five bathroom villa with large private pool and Jacuzzi, extensive terraces and landscaped garden areas. It occupies a large and prestigious elevated front-line plot, immediately on the picturesque marina of Puerto Addaya, on Menorca's dramatic north coast. All six bedrooms have air conditioning/heating units. The villa was built in 2001 and constructed to very high specification to provide a tranquil and spacious second home while also affording a high level of seclusion and privacy with uninterrupted views of the marina and the surrounding islets and coastline. The villa is situated at the end of a small and quiet cul-de-sac. Fifteen steps lead down to the villa and the main entrance door, which opens into an impressive and spacious entrance hall, with high beamed ceiling, a double bench seat, hall stand and mirror, and decorative tapestries. To the right of the entrance hall is the large kitchen/dining/breakfast room, comprising a large dining area with natural pine table and chairs, an open-plan kitchen with a complete range of fitted pine units with marble worktops, and equipped with high quality integral domestic appliances including fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, extractor and microwave; in the adjoining utility room there is a washing machine and butler sink. Two sets of french doors from the kitchen/diner lead to the pool, terraces and barbecue area. Immediately in front of the entrance hall is the spacious sitting room with high beamed and sloping ceilings, three sets of large french doors and picture windows opening on to two different covered outside terrace areas offering superb views over the marina. The sitting room is decorated and furnished to a very high standard, with two co-ordinating sofas and four chairs, occasional tables, chess table and wall units, and is equipped with TV (access to UK English language free-to-view channels), DVD and music system. Also to the right of the entrance hall, stairs with wrought iron railings lead up to the master bedroom suite. This large room offers a king size double bed, a dressing area with built-in wardrobes, and a spacious modern bathroom ensuite. French doors open on to a large private balcony with wonderful elevated front-line views over the marina. To the left of the entrance hall a corridor leads to a wc with washbasin, and a bedroom with king size double bed, a range of matching pine furniture including chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and fitted wardrobe. The ensuite bathroom has full bath with glass shower screen and shower attachment, wc and washbasin. Double french doors open on to the outside terrace which runs the length of the villa. Also off the entrance hall, a staircase leads down to the lower level. Off the long corridor are four more bedrooms, all with french doors opening on to a lower terrace and the lovely lawned gardens, and also offering uninterrupted views over the marina. There are two rooms with double beds, one with an ensuite shower room/wc, and two twin bedrooms - one also benefiting from an ensuite shower room/wc. The other two bedrooms share a good sized shower room/wc. All bedrooms have co-ordinating pine furniture and either fitted or free-standing wardrobes. The huge plot on which this superb villa is located offers a variety of different areas from which to enjoy the lovely marina views, whether dining around the large table on the elevated part of the terrace, sunbathing from the lower bedroom terrace, or the spacious pool terrace area, which incorporates a brick built BBQ and food preparation area and a large outside dining area with pergola to provide welcome shade. The 12x5m pool with roman steps has an integral Jacuzzi. Friday change-over. Puerto Addaya is a small, quiet and pleasant resort-cum-residential pueblo, with several bar-restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Although it does not have its own beach (and therefore fewer crowds and commercialisation), it does have a pretty yacht marina and some dramatic views, and an excellent choice of first class beaches and resorts within five or 10 minutes drive, including Arenal d'en Castell, Son Parc (which also is home to the island's golf course), Son Saura, Na Macaret and Fornells Playa. |
