New Belfast route from bmibaby bmibaby adds Belfast-Menorca route

Low-cost flight operator bmibaby has added a new route to Mahon from Belfast City Airport for the 2012 summer season.

The new route from Belfast to Menorca will start on 15 June and operate up to twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, until 24 September. Flights are on sale now at bmibaby.com with fares starting from £44.99 one way including all taxes.

The airline already operates a five-day a week service to Mahon from East Midlands Airport. Its Belfast-Menorca service joins those already operated from Northern Ireland by Thomson, Jet2 and Thomas Cook.

Julian Carr, bmibaby managing director, said: “The new flights from Belfast City Airport to Mahon, Menorca, are a welcome addition to our sunshine flights. We are delighted to offer even more destinations for summer 2012 and customers can continue to enjoy our great bmibaby service and low fares.”

Make it Menorca for 2012...

The New Year is upon us and, not unnaturally, people’s thoughts are turning to better weather and a holiday to look forward to… We’re pleased to say that bookings for the coming season in Menorca are buoyant but also that we can still offer good peak-season availability for private villas and apartments.

We have a number of new villas on our books for 2012, including this super family villa (pictured left, above) in the highly sought-after family resort of S’Algar. With its front-line position and stunning sea views, we expect VS060 to fill fast for July and August.

Another great new villa for us is VM020 (left, below) on the tranquil Cala Llonga side of Mahon harbour; it’s a great spot for a chill-out break and handy for one of Menorca’s most beautiful beaches, Cala Mesquida.

Menorca is not just about July and August, though… Indeed many of our repeat clients avoid the peak times, the heat and the hordes, and opt for early and/or late-season breaks. In April and May Menorca can be gorgeous. Easter this year is April 6-9; ask us for a property recommendation!
