This lovely ground-floor apartment is situated in the popular Pinimar complex at Port Addaya. The complex boasts a large guitar-shaped pool with connected children's pool and ample terrace space and sunloungers all set in pretty landscaped gardens. The air-conditioned apartment is well appointed and finished and has a great terrace, ideal for entertaining and barbequing, overlooking the pool, which is no more than 12 yards away making it very convenient for a relaxing day. The ground floor accommodation has two bedrooms (both air-conditioned), one double and one twin, plus a sofa bed in the living room which can be used by a child. Both the bedrooms share a family bathroom. The kitchen and living room are open plan, divided by a large breakfast bar with stools. The living area is equipped with TV/DVD and hi-fi with iPod connectivity. There is a selection of DVDs to suit all ages. French doors open on to the terrace, which is large enough for eight people to sit comfortably. The compact but well designed and fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas hob/electric oven and grill, and fridge freezer, plus a full range of crockery, cutlery and utensils. The apartment shares well maintained communal gardens with spacious lawns, palm trees and colourful Mediterranean shrubs. It also boasts a rear terrace with washing machine and drying area. The three restaurant/bars, PADI dive centre and excellent supermarket, which offers fresh baked bread daily, are within three minutes walk. There is also a good tennis court available for hourly rental including equipment. Wireless internet access is available in one of the bars. Close by are three popular beaches (Arenal, Macaret & Son Parc) and the apartment is within walking distance of the port of Addaya, which offers private boat charter. The island's only golf course is nearby. A car is recommended for beach/golf access although Macaret and Arenal are walkable within 30/40 mins. A regular bus service operates to Mahon, which is 25 minutes away by car. Windsurfing, water-skiing and wakeboarding, including full tuition, are offered in Fornells, which is a 20-minute drive away. A Friday change-over day is preferred but may be more flexible in the low/mid season. Puerto Addaya is a small, quiet and pleasant resort-cum-residential pueblo, with several bar-restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Although it does not have its own beach (and therefore fewer crowds and commercialisation), it does have a pretty yacht marina and some dramatic views, and an excellent choice of first class beaches and resorts within five or 10 minutes drive, including Arenal d'en Castell, Son Parc (which also is home to the island's golf course), Son Saura, Na Macaret and Fornells Playa. |
