This first-floor, two-bedroom apartment (accessed by 17 stairs from ground floor level) is situated within a pleasant and tranquil development comprising 40 apartments designed in the attractive style of a traditional Spanish 'pueblo' (village). The apartments nestle around the lovely communal gardens of rolling lawns, colourful and fragrant Mediterranean shrubs and trees and, of course, a large and recently renovated swimming pool (which includes a separate shallow area for children), complete with overflow 'infinity' effect on the side of the pool closest to the beach. The complex has pleasant views of the sea from the communal terrace and pool. The apartment consists of a spacious open-plan sitting/dining room, simply furnished with traditional light pine furniture and a sofa bed (a sliding single mattress under the sofa can accommodate a fifth person), and two matching lounge chairs. There is a TV (local channel access only) and a DVD player. An arch off the living/dining room leads into the compact but well planned and equipped kitchen, which has a range of fitted pine units, marble work top, electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle. Off the living area, french doors open on to a small balcony which affords very nice views of the sea and rolling countryside. There is a small patio table and four chairs. To the rear of the living/dining room a corridor leads to the two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Both have fitted wardrobe, a dressing table and chair. The second bedroom also has french doors which open to a small balcony. There is a full bathroom with over-bath shower. The bathroom also houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. The complex is situated less than five minutes stroll from Son Parc's lovely sweeping sandy beach, Son Saura, accessed by steps. Just across the development is a general shop located within a small aparthotel; a wider range of shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants can be found in the centre of Son Parc, about 12-minute walk away. This apartment offers simple and uncomplicated but well maintained accommodation, and is an ideal base for exploring the many beaches and places of interest Menorca offers. Friday change-over. Son Parc is an attractive urbanisation on Menorca's beautiful north coast. It has its own lovely horseshoe-shaped sandy beach, as well as a good selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Between five and 10 minutes drive is a range of other beaches and resorts, including Arenal d'en Castell, Na Macaret, Puerto Addaya and the picturesque fishing village of Fornells. Journey time from the airport is approximately 25 minutes. To get the most from a holiday based in Son Parc, we strongly recommend a hire car. |
