This recently constructed complex, a mixture of holiday and residential properties, offers a wonderful location in the popular resort of Es Castell close to the lovely harbour of Cales Fonts with its excellent bars, restaurants and shops. A gated, locked entrance ensures privacy and security and there are two swimming pools for clients' use. We offer a selection of both single-level and duplex apartments with two and three bedrooms to suit a wide variety of tastes. AF020 is a first-floor duplex apartment with two bedrooms which offers well appointed, spacious and relaxing accommodation. Entrance is into the main living area, which is equipped with sofas, dining table/chairs, flat-screen TV with Freesat UK free-to-view channels, video, DVD, CD music system and doors to a terrace which is furnished with table and chairs to seat four. There are harbour views from the terrace. Also on this level is the well-equipped kitchen with built-in oven/hob, fridge freezer, microwave and plenty of utensils. Next to the kitchen is a separate WC with wash basin. Stairs (with gates top and bottom for child safety) lead to a lower level and two spacious twin-bedded rooms, one to the front of the apartment and the other at the rear. Both have fully fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and share a full modern bathroom. Also on this level is the laundry room with washing machine. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and there are two freestanding floor fans in addition. A child's high chair and a travel cot feature among the equipment available for guests. A 2-3 minute stroll takes you to the harbour where, in the summer months, there is a street market and entertainers several nights a week. There is also a supermarket just a minute's walk away. This is a convenient location for a family holiday with many beaches 10-15 minutes drive and the bonus of being able to walk to a wonderful selection of restaurants in the evening. Friday change-over. Situated just five minutes drive from Mahon, Es Castell features two charming coves. The larger, Calas Fonts, has a huge selection of waterside bars and restaurants, many based in the old caves of the cliff, while the other, Cala Corb, is a working fishing cove. Es Castell is an excellent base for those looking to stay close to a town's amenities and travel by car to explore the island. A five-minute walk to the tiny cove of Cala Pedrera provides access for sea swimming; beyond there are lovely walks alongside the waters of the harbour. |
