AFW010/011 If you would like to sample the Menorcan lifestyle, then staying in these very well appointed apartments in the midst of the pretty whitewashed town of Ferreries is most definitely for you. This newly built complex is set on the edge of town in a lovely quiet location and both apartments are finished to the highest specification and furnished in a contemporary style. A five-minute walk takes you into the old town square where there are pavement cafes and restaurants and an eight-minute drive takes you to the very popular beach resort of Cala Galdana. Santo Tomas and Ciutadella are within 15 mins by car also. Buses run into the beach resorts and Ciutadella, and the bus stop is a two-minute walk from the apartments. The ground-floor apartment has a large terrace with table/chairs and sunloungers, a gate to the pool area and a door into the living/dining/kitchen area. Features include a large corner sofa unit, 38in flat-screen TV, DVD and CD, dining table and chairs to seat four, kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, built-in oven and hob, coffee maker plus all the necessary utensils for a self catering holiday. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds. There is ample wardrobe space and air-conditioning units in each. The modern bathroom has a walk-in shower. This apartment benefits from its own parking space. The upper duplex apartment is built over two levels, with the living area on the first and the bedrooms and bathroom on the second. With the same fixtures and fittings in the kitchen and bathroom, this apartment has a smaller terrace with table and chairs overlooking the pool area. On the lower floor are the living/dining area and kitchen, plus a separate WC. On the upper floor are a double bedroom and a bunk-bedded room, again both air-conditioned, plus a family bathroom. This apartment does not have a private parking space but there is ample on-street parking nearby. It enjoys lovely views over the whitewashed rooftops of Ferreries. Both apartments have the use of a nice swimming pool with roman steps which is surrounded by sunbathing terraces and drystone walls. We highly recommend these apartments as an alternative to a holiday resort to discover the local way of life, while at the same time being only a short drive from beaches and other towns.
